Studio Interiors

I have been working on studio interiors for as long as I have been a painter—in different studios, in different cities. They enable me to locate myself and my vision in a painterly space, in relation to the rest of the world. I return to this subject again and again, when I need to “find myself.” The examples below represent recent explorations of this subject. These scenes symbolize an overlap or merging of an exterior reality with an interior world.
